» ANG LAN Information |
Gigabit Network!
We have improved our Network and now support gigabit LAN. If you do not have a Gigabit Lan card do not worry your 10/100 network will still work, and if you want to upgrade just ask at the LAN and you can be on gigabit speeds that day.
So what do you need to come to ANG?
You need a PC that you can bring to the LAN with the games that are played. Please read the topic in the FAQ FORUM on the games we play.
The PC needs to also have a LAN ADAPTER/CARD so that you can plug into the network.
What if I don't have a network card or headset?
10/100 Network cards & basic Stereo Headsets (with mic) are available from syatech on the day for £5 an upgraded set £10 and a 5.1 Headphones £15 each also 10/100/1000 Network Cards to support the new gigabit switch are for sale for £15 each.
If you would like to come along to spectate then your more than welcome, but please inform us first!
How much does it cost?
£5 per machine for members, but if it's your first time then entrance is a only £4 when you pay the £1 membership fee.
How long is it for?
Usually the organisers start setting up at around 8 - 8:30 am
We normally open the doors for 9am.
We aim to finish the LAN for 10pm but it can over run.
People who have signed up are allocated a place so please sign up to avoid disappointment.
We do recommend you arrive early to get a decent table and have ample time to setup your rig & for all the people without broadband an opportunity to patch up your game to the latest version!
Setting up the rig usually takes an 1 Hour, from unpacking and getting onto the LAN.
Where is it?
Travel towards Holyhead on the A55, when you get to the end roundabout take the first Exit, then take the second left this will take you into Clifton Terrace, the LAN is held at The Kingsland Senior Citizen Club (NOT the Kingsland Community Centre)
OK I want to come
If you want to come then please SIGN UP in the forum.
Check out the Latest Event posted on the front page
This helps us know how many tables/chairs to setup
We look forward in seeing you in 2008
